Complete 90 City Events, collect 90 Tokens, and complete 48 combat tours.
Black costume:
Complete 100 City Events, collect all 100 Tokens, and complete all combat tours.

Complete 75 City Events, collect 75 Tokens, and complete 32 combat tours.
Peter Parker costume:
Complete 50 City Events, collect 50 Tokens, and win the fourth race against Johnny Storm.

Hint: Fight Shocker again:
You can see Shocker even after you have defeated him. Sometimes in a City Event, Shocker will appear and you must fight him. It will not be a Boss battle, though -- just a fight against a street thug, who has some very powerful blasters. Note: He is also stronger than all street thugs.

Hint: See Boomerang:
Boomerang can also appear in a City Event.

Hint: Arachnoman billboard:
When you are near the Empire State Building, you will see a billboard that shows Arachnoman Note: This is one of the costumes that you can get.

Hint: Balloon:
In the first level available as Venom, when you feed on the kid and his balloon goes in the air, try to catch it. If you do, Venom will grab it and run around with it. Hint: Ferris Bueller's Day Off reference:
Toward the beginning of the game where Spider-Man has to go to school (and just before the race with the Human Torch) wander around the city and explore. Spider-Man will make comments like, "I need to get to class" and "I really have to get to school." One comment is something along the lines of, "I cant miss anymore class. I've been absent nine times... nine... times." This is in reference to a scene from the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off in which the principal is taking note of the main character's habit of skipping class.

Accumulate 30,000 points during game play to unlock a Vulture FMV sequence in the CG menu.

Green Goblin FMV sequence:
Successfully complete the game under the hero or greater difficulty setting.

Unlimited webbing:
Accumulate 50,000 points during game play

Play as Alex Ross:
Successfully complete the game under the normal or higher difficulty setting to unlock the Alex Ross costume in the specials menu.

Play as the Green Goblin:
Successfully complete the game under the hero or super hero difficulty setting to unlock the Green Goblin costume option at the specials menu. Select that option to play as Harry Osborn in the Green Goblin costume with his weapons in an alternate storyline where he tries to correct the Osborn family's reputation.

To unlock this easily, start a new game under the hero or super hero difficulty setting. At the first level, pause game play, then quit to the main menu. Enable the ARACHNID code, then go to the "Level Warp" option. Choose the "Conclusion" level (that features Norman revealing himself to Spider-Man followed by the glider sequence), then exit. This marks the game as completed under the selected difficulty setting. The Green Goblin costume option will be unlocked at the "Secret Store" screen.

Alternate Green Goblin costume:
If you are using the Alex Ross Spider-Man, play any level with the Green Goblin in it and he will have an alternate costume that resembles his classic costume more. Note: This will only work when you are in the Alex Ross costume and the Green Goblin alternate costume will not be in the very last in-game intermission.

Play as Peter Parker:
Successfully complete the game under the easy or higher difficulty setting to unlock the Peter Parker costume in the specials menu.

Play as wrestler:
Successfully complete the game under the easy or higher difficulty setting to unlock the wrestler costume in the specials menu.

OsCorp's Gambit: Easy passcode download:
When you are downloading the passcode, just wrap the guards in webbing and you can download it. After they break out of the spider silk they will not raise the alarm if you are on the ceiling or walls.

Defeating the Green Goblin while he is on the ground:
Shoot webbing at him, which distracts him briefly. Then, hit him when he is distracted. This is easier if you use combos to kill him.

Tons of health cheat:

1. This requires a saved game to work, so either start a new game and reach a save point or use an old save.

2. Backup the files: gamestat.ini and game#.ini (where # is the number of the saved game from 0-9) from the Spider-Man 2System directory (eg: game0.ini)

3. Edit both files with notepad.exe (or equivalent)

4a. For Spider-Man 2Systemgamestat.ini change the line:

MaxHealth=100 // 200 is upgraded value

to

MaxHealth=1000 // 2000 is upgraded value

Now save the file.


4b. For Spider-Man 2Systemgame#.ini change the value:

Health=100MaxHealth=100

to

Health=1000 MaxHealth=1000

This will give you 1000 hit points 10x the standard. Use higher values if necessary, you can edit your current health at any time by reaching a save point and changing the line Health=### in the game#.ini to it's max value
again. Thankfully, this doesn't effect enemy forces.

How to defeat Rhino
If you need some health, zip around the inside of the prison collecting health crosses; then, exit the prison to initiate the first fight with Rhino. Double-jump to avoid his shockwave--start your double-jump at the same time Rhino jumps. Then quickly close and beat on him until the green circles that indicate he's stunned wear off. Rinse-and-repeat until Rhino runs off down the street and is captured in a containment field.

Swing around the corner and drop down inside the containment field with Rhino. (Get health crosses from the surrounding area first, if you need them.) Wait for him to start his charge and then jump or double-jump out of
his way. The best way to handle this is to wait until he snorts and then double-jump straight up. When you land, close in and beat on him a few times. Rinse-and-repeat until Rhino breaks the containment field, runs down
the street and starts some fires at a gas station before being spirited away by Doc Ock.
